My soccer star practices at Cedar Falls soccer complex once per week. On those days, I run the neighborhoods nearby – namely, Lake Forest in Chapel Hill. The neighborhood is absolutely stunning. It is established with massive, mature trees, native shrubbery, wide streets, huge lots, and big hills. The homes are from a handful of different decades – each one with its own flair. It is eclectic and just so lovely…

A few years back, I decided I wanted to sell real estate exclusively in the communities where I work, play, volunteer, shop, and exercise. This is why I specialize in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough. These communities are where I live my life and that’s why I can represent them so thoroughly. To me, it isn’t enough to just show or just list a property – one must also be able to educate about the surrounding area. To be familiar with a community takes time – and effort. But there is something else that enables you to truly know a community – an x-factor that you can only acquire if you spend quality time there.

I spend many hours a week walking neighborhoods in Chapel Hill, waiting for my athlete to finish practice. I spend social time with parents who live in dozens of different neighborhoods all over Orange County. I live the news in these areas and spend time at the schools, attending student concerts and athletic events. I know the inside scoop about things – like how the Estes Road project has taken SO much longer than it was supposed to (of course – roadwork is never completed on time)…

I can tell you that the art scene in Hillsborough is welcoming and diverse. It is generous and full of talent and the studios are kind and approachable. How do I know? I take art classes downtown. I buy local for my clients at the shops and talk to the artists…

Durham Public Schools are going through a massive transition right now. A huge error in accounting has dethroned the very successful superintendent and caused the Durham Association of Educators to fight – hard – for money that these educators deserve. It has become the catalyst that will *hopefully* lead to more funding for public schools across the entire state (North Carolina must properly fund public education and discontinue this preposterous private school voucher program being unfairly financed by our public funds). I am very aware of all of this because of my work on behalf of committees that support DPS.

I am so proud to work in Durham, Hillsborough, and Chapel Hill. These three localities are filled with culture and community and care – all of the good stuff. I consider myself a pro when it comes to real estate in this little triangle because I am very involved here. I am a local specialist who spends time, each and every week, in the neighborhoods of the cities I serve – not just showing houses, but spending personal time there, getting to know the people and the businesses and the culture and all of the things that make each place so special. Yes, I help you navigate the real estate transaction for home purchases (and, more importantly, ownership) and home sales with proper expectations and ease. And, yes, I guide you through a home, pointing out red flags and points of value. However, my role as your Realtor is so much more. I want to be the one you go to with questions that affect your lifestyle. My sphere is your sphere so if I don’t have the answer, I know someone who will!

I am so proud to be a steward of Durham, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough. I am even more proud to be your Realtor for life.
